The French Institute, Khartoum, Sudan, 2023

The project aims to collect the archives of the Sudanese women’s movement during the period 1940-2010 that are subject to loss. It is a presentation of the initial survey of part of the archives that were reached and which was carried out by the researchers Safaa Mohamed Khair, Iman Mohamed Osman, and Mahasin Youssef with the support of the program (Support for Archives in Danger) University of California under the scientific supervision of Dr. Elena Vesdini Institute African Worlds (IMAF) – Paris and in collaboration with the Centre for Economic, Legal and Social Studies and Documentation (CEDEJ) in Khartoum. This exhibition, curated by Reem Aljeally, presents a part of the special archives that are part of each target as an objective of this project.
